Autumn's Baptism

Autumn was baptized Saturday, February 4, 2012 by her dad.

We are so proud of Autumn's decision to be baptized into
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

Thank-you to those who came such a long distance to be with us!

The kids that lasted all night jumping on the tramp!  In the front we have the boys; Codan, Brody, Brighton.  In the back are the girls; Cambry, Autumn, Jayden, Carlie and Aspen.

Brighton used his charm on Aunt Loraine!  He got her to read I don't know how many stories before bedtime.

Halloween 2011

Halloween has ALWAYS been my favorite holiday!  Jay thinks I am weird, he says "My favorite holiday is the devil worshiper holiday".   What other day can you dress up and be somebody else?  Plus, it's when I have an excuse to listen to "Thriller"!  This year was awesome!  No wearing coats, hats and gloves, the best part NO SNOW!  It was 78 degrees at 8:00 pm!

My day started out getting Brighton dressed up for his Halloween party at preschool.  He was so stinkin' excited to be "Batman that lights up"!

Next was on to the Halloween parade at Autumn's school.

Autumn and her BFF Camille is behind her.

After that I went to Autumn's class to help out with her Halloween party.

Autumn and her teacher Mrs. Trujillio.

Our family all dressed up for the Annual Neighborhood Halloween Party (our first of course).  We ate hot dogs and chili.  I was impressed at how many people showed up, not to mention how many adults dressed up.  A great place to meet all our neighbors!

Brighton as "Batman that lights up".

Autumn as "Butterfly Princess".

Aspen as "The devil".  She is now too cool to be any fluffy princesses now! :(  All she wanted to be was a devil, witch or vampire.  Aspen is too old to dress up for school anymore too.  But her teacher ordered pizza and they went to a park for the afternoon.

Brighton with his best buddy in our ward, Bryce.  Don't they look alike?  Not to mention I have never met any kid as hyperactive as Brighton until Bryce!  Although Brighton is still louder!

The butterflies, Autumn and Aggie.  Believe it or not Aggie is Brighton's age.  Autumn is just our little midget!

What a great night!  Brighton now calls me "The Princess Super Hero".  The kids are all hopped up on candy now!  We passed out around candy to 200-225 trick or treaters.  I love our new neighborhood!  Everyone is soooo nice!

Ward Daddy Daughter Camp

How many camps do you know that have popcorn poppers, tons of candy and a 20 feet movie screen?  Leave it up to the dads to figure out a way!

The girls drinking hot chocolate while watching Tangled.

Aspen and Alexa waking up in the morning.  The perfect temperature at night  (57 degrees) let us sleep without the rain cover on.  We watched the stars all night!  It was amazing!

The view of the rim from camp.

Jay woke up and took these girls on a hike.  I am going to try to remember all the girls names?!  Camille, Autumn, Brianna, Jenna,  Alexa, Helana, and Aspen.

A pond they found on their hike.

Autumn and Camille waiting for breakfast.

Leave it to the Fathers to make a "candy cannon"!  It was a whole lot of flames just to launch the candy 15 feet!

Where can it be cold enough to wear sweats at night and warm enough to swim during the day?  Answer - Arizona!  This swimming hole was breathe taking!!

Autumn sliding down the rock into the water.

After she slide into the water, she realized it was freezing cold!  She didn't like it too much!

Aspen and her friends ready to jump in the water from the cliffs.

We are so happy to be living within 1.5 hour drive of such an amazing area!!

So what did Brighton and I do while Jay and the girls were off playing.  We went out on a date!  I took him to the Spaghetti Factory, they even sat us in the train.  After that we went home and made puppets.

First Day of School '11

Monday Night was "Meet the Teacher" at the kids new school.

Aspen and her new 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Pine.

Autumn and her new 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Trujillo.  She has some big shoes to fill, her kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Briggs and her 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Murphy were the best teachers EVER!

Brighton starts preschool this year.  His teacher is probably going to wish he wasn't in her class.  He has more energy and can talk more than any kid I have ever known.  Brighton and his new teacher, Mrs. Johnson.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 2011

Aspen and Autumn with a big grin because Zorro walked into the picture.

Autumn is super excited to start school and make new friends!

Aspen, not so excited!

As I was taking this picture in front of our house the school bus stopped right in front.  But of course being the overprotective mom that I am I won't let them ride the bus.  I have to drive them to and from school.

Aspen was REALLY nervous to start a new school!  This will be her 5th school she has attended!  I think she is sick and tired of being the new kid.

Autumn has come a long way!  In Kindergarten she left for school crying uncontrollably!  2nd grade she couldn't wait to go to school and make new friends!

Autumn's Barnyard "Moo"sical

Tonight, Autumn had her 1st grade musical.  It was called "Barnyard "Moo"sical".  Autumn had one of the lead roles.  She got to dress up like a cow, the cutest cow I have ever seen!

Autumn right before the musical started.

I snapped her picture right after her part.  Of course a super big, tall guy had to sit in front of me so I had a hard time taking pics.  I thought this picture was hilarious because the girl, dressed up like a pig next to her is picking her nose.

Autumn always had the biggest expressions and movements!  She loves the spotlight, well, as long as it is positive attention!

Autumn and her principal, Mrs. Webber.  This is Mrs. Webber last year as principal.  She is awesome!  I swear she knows every kid by their full name!

Autumn in front of her barn.

Autumn with her 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Murphy.  We LOVE Mrs. Murphy!

Of course, after the musical the kids had to go out to the playground for awhile before we could go home.

We tried to get her music teacher, Mrs. Flint to take a picture with, but she was in demand!  Thank-you, Mrs. Flint for a wonderful performance!  You are amazing!
