Christmas Cruise

I know!  I am a huge slacker at this blog!  Here is is 3 1/2 months after our cruise and I am finally getting around to posting.  We had a lot of fun with the Hoggan side of our family on our Christmas cruise to the western carribbean.  Especially after I took one of my moms sea sickness patches.  WOW, was I sick!

The grandkids in their matching pajamas from Grandma & Grandpa.

Ava & Brighton hanging onto Grandpa.

Jay and Brighton waiting for our tender boat to take us over to the Cayman Islands.

Like father, like son.

Autumn building a sandcastle.

The grandkids at 7 mile beach in the Cayman Islands.

Right after the above picture a wave came and knocked them all over!

Brighton absolutely loved the kids club!  They had a different theme every night.  One night they dressed up like pirates and then did a pirate parade around the boat.  Another night they made "alien poop".

Autumn and Lauren during the pirate parade.

Passing through immigration in Jamaica.  The man in the background would kill us if he knew we still had this picture.  He made everyone who took a picture delete it.

In the van on our way to Chucka Chucka beach in Jamaica.

Luke, Sina, Aspen and Kira washing the sand off before we ate lunch.

Lauren, Autumn, Scott, Sina and Grandma eating lunch at Chucka Chucka beach.

Aspen ice skating on the cruise ship.

Grandpa throwing Brighton into the water in Jamaica.  I think all the boys wore Grandpa out!

All of the grandkids in the enterence to the dinning room.

Lauren and Autumn eating ice cream cones.  Don't ask how many they had a day!

Brighton eating his seventh ice cream cone for the day!

Aspen, Kira, Sina, Luke, Brighton and Autumn on the helli pad.

Doesn't this totally look like they are sitting in a potty stall?

Ava and Aspen.  Ava really took to Aspen on this cruise.  Aspen was the only one she would eat for most of the time.

Autumn trying to warm up to grandma after swimming.

Playing mini golf on top of the cruise ship at sunset.

Halloween 2011

Halloween has ALWAYS been my favorite holiday!  Jay thinks I am weird, he says "My favorite holiday is the devil worshiper holiday".   What other day can you dress up and be somebody else?  Plus, it's when I have an excuse to listen to "Thriller"!  This year was awesome!  No wearing coats, hats and gloves, the best part NO SNOW!  It was 78 degrees at 8:00 pm!

My day started out getting Brighton dressed up for his Halloween party at preschool.  He was so stinkin' excited to be "Batman that lights up"!

Next was on to the Halloween parade at Autumn's school.

Autumn and her BFF Camille is behind her.

After that I went to Autumn's class to help out with her Halloween party.

Autumn and her teacher Mrs. Trujillio.

Our family all dressed up for the Annual Neighborhood Halloween Party (our first of course).  We ate hot dogs and chili.  I was impressed at how many people showed up, not to mention how many adults dressed up.  A great place to meet all our neighbors!

Brighton as "Batman that lights up".

Autumn as "Butterfly Princess".

Aspen as "The devil".  She is now too cool to be any fluffy princesses now! :(  All she wanted to be was a devil, witch or vampire.  Aspen is too old to dress up for school anymore too.  But her teacher ordered pizza and they went to a park for the afternoon.

Brighton with his best buddy in our ward, Bryce.  Don't they look alike?  Not to mention I have never met any kid as hyperactive as Brighton until Bryce!  Although Brighton is still louder!

The butterflies, Autumn and Aggie.  Believe it or not Aggie is Brighton's age.  Autumn is just our little midget!

What a great night!  Brighton now calls me "The Princess Super Hero".  The kids are all hopped up on candy now!  We passed out around candy to 200-225 trick or treaters.  I love our new neighborhood!  Everyone is soooo nice!

Ward Daddy Daughter Camp

How many camps do you know that have popcorn poppers, tons of candy and a 20 feet movie screen?  Leave it up to the dads to figure out a way!

The girls drinking hot chocolate while watching Tangled.

Aspen and Alexa waking up in the morning.  The perfect temperature at night  (57 degrees) let us sleep without the rain cover on.  We watched the stars all night!  It was amazing!

The view of the rim from camp.

Jay woke up and took these girls on a hike.  I am going to try to remember all the girls names?!  Camille, Autumn, Brianna, Jenna,  Alexa, Helana, and Aspen.

A pond they found on their hike.

Autumn and Camille waiting for breakfast.

Leave it to the Fathers to make a "candy cannon"!  It was a whole lot of flames just to launch the candy 15 feet!

Where can it be cold enough to wear sweats at night and warm enough to swim during the day?  Answer - Arizona!  This swimming hole was breathe taking!!

Autumn sliding down the rock into the water.

After she slide into the water, she realized it was freezing cold!  She didn't like it too much!

Aspen and her friends ready to jump in the water from the cliffs.

We are so happy to be living within 1.5 hour drive of such an amazing area!!

So what did Brighton and I do while Jay and the girls were off playing.  We went out on a date!  I took him to the Spaghetti Factory, they even sat us in the train.  After that we went home and made puppets.
